A new loop is opened for mountain seekers near Manila. We get to check it out as you can see sea of clouds above in this mountain. We joined a group of mountain climbers to try this loop. We met at Jollibee, Farmers, Cubao by 12mn and went to Cogeo by van and ride a jumbo jeep going to Tanay. The road going to Mamuyao is not paved and you will cross three rivers before you reach the barangay hall or drop off point to start the hike. We started the hike by around 4:20 am

There are two mountains and three waterfalls, we only get to reach one mountain peek and one waterfalls. Haha

This is the first time to climb a mountain this high. The sweat is worth it! According to our guide the clouds are actually thin.

Next stop the waterfalls, but it not an easy trek a lot of mud will be encountered during the downhill and uphill. In between trek, the jungle trail is also beautiful.

Boulders covered by roots, it feels like Im in Tomb Raider.

Bamboo trees around the trail, looks like Bohol's man made bamboo forest. LOL

Look at our feet. I suggest you wear hiking shoes that can withstand thick mud!

Then there is the waterfalls, reward yourself with a massage. The trek is worth it. The guide said it is 52ft. It is the biggest in Mayumamao and definitely the one you shouldn't miss.

On our way back to the drop-off, we still had a chance to take pictures.

We reached the drop-off point by 5pm. The locals offer their bathrooms for bathing for P20 and they also sell food.
