This one of the best trip so far, our barkada was able to get a promo to Tacloban, thanks again to AirAsia. One of our barkada is from Southern Leyte so our accommodation is off the expense. Thank you Itom Family!
Day 1 MacArthur landing - Southern Leyte
We greeted McArthur, Hello! We shall return!
This lechon is the best so far better than Cebu's lechon
Day 2 Canigao Island
Clear water and white sand but the current is strong. You can buy seafoods and ask them to cook it.
At night we had a boodle
I forgot the name of the restaurant but I can say that Leyte has good food!
Day 3 Kalanggaman Island
We woke up early to go to Polompon, Leyte from Southern Leyte it's a 5 hour ride. The travel is totally worth it! Kalanggaman Island (Kalanggaman means bird in Bisaya) has one of the best sand bar and whitest beach in the Philippines! Unfortunately, we only had a day tour and it is not enough to enjoy the place!

Day 4 San Juan River and Hindag-an Falls
We get to jump off a water falls! A resort that used the water falls to be a pool!
Day 5 Cuatros Islas
This tour gets you 3 islands because the fourth island is in the jurisdiction of the other barangay. The last island is the best in this tour, it also has a sand bar and also has a white sand.

Day 5
Flight back to Manila
Leyte is an underrated destination in the Philippines, only a few knew of the place and transportation and tour guides are not that prevalent in the area. There is a big opportunity for the tourism of the province to grow and be well known around the world.
We will definitely return to Leyte!
